This website has been created as a final product of my Professional Inquiry Project with the University of Lethbridge. My research question is "What are the best strategies to improve math fact fluency?"
This question came about when my teacher mentor mentioned students were struggling with basic facts. I had three 30 minute periods a week to experiment with as many strategies as I could. Fact Fluency is critical for students as they advance in their mathematics as they need to be able to quickly answer basic facts.
Although my project was based in Grade 2 on addition and subtraction the strategies can all be altered for multiplication and division in upper elementary.
